The Mother’s and Toddlers group meet each Wednesday at 10.00 a.m. in the Parish Centre.

A chance for parents and carers to get together and have a chat over coffee whilst their children enjoy the company of other children in the well equipped play area of the Parish Centre.

Parish tots has been running in St Patrick’s Parish Centre since 2007. There are currently around 20-30 mothers and carers with children who are enjoying the weekly fun. Children can play with a wide range of toys, like ride on cars, tractors, bikes, slides and a trampoline. A programme of structured play is also provided with musical instruments, a blackboard to encourage drawing and writing and a jigsaw table. Role play ia also popular and includes the playhouse, prams and baby dolls, the kitchen (with play food & cooking utensils), the shop (with trolley, groceries & cash register) and dress up clothes. Babies and very young children are also catered for with a soft play area where they can safely experience stimulating toys with interesting colours, lights, sounds and textures. Baby walkers and bouncy chairs are also available. A small craft programme is also available for those who wish to take part. For just £1 parents/carers can enjoy tea/coffee, juice, a range of hot and cold snacks, savoury and sweet including some delicious home bakery. Children are provided with juice, toast and treats like crisps, sweets and biscuits. Parish Tots also aims to promote healthy eating by offering yogurt and fruit. Parish Tots aim to provide a safe and happy environment for children to have fun, learn through play and make new friends. We also want to provide somewhere that parents and carers can come to relax, have a chat, make new friends and gain from support and experience of others.

You can be assured of plenty of laughs and a most warm welcome.
